Ruby has been given a "gemlike" nickname
until her new mom chooses a name, tho she
has mentioned she might keep Ruby and call
her Kattery'z Ruby Slippers to honor her
Kansas heritage too.  (think Wizard of Oz etc)

Buff and White Parti Female

With Buff and White Partis it is sometimes difficult to
capture their "buff" markings at this age.  They are
there, just not visible to the camera etc.  As time goes
on the spots will be easier to see online.  You can
click on each picture to view a larger image.

on her nose is also filling
in (will be either black
Already at just a week
or brown when done.
Ruby's eyes were not open at all
yesterday, but this morning she is
starting to peek out at the world!

She still spends most of her time
sleeping or nursing on momma.
My teeth have started
to come in (2/14/09)
and this week I will
start to lap puppy
formula from a bowl
on my own.
This week I am
eating canned
puppy food all
on my own!  By
the end of this
week I will be
eating dry kibble
too!
This week it was time for
my first bath!  I am weaned
from Momma and eating
puppy food all on my own.  
I also have been going
outside to potty every 2
hours and am working on
potty training.
I am looking forward to
going home to my mom in
just 2 weeks!
Last week Tristen and
Charlie left for their new
homes.  So it is just Ruby
& Mikey here for now.  
They are really getting
playful this week and
really looking forward to
meeting her mom and
arriving at her new home
in less than 2 weeks!
This week I got to spend with my brother Mikey but also got to play with Kat's
goddaughter who's first big word was "Puppies" and adores them.  They play and
play and love posing for pics only when they are tired out!  I am counting the days
til I get to go home to my mom (Mikey left today) and be the center of attention.
Hi Kat!
Ruby is doing VERY well!  She is growing up so beautifully and is such a smart and good girl!  She already knows how
to "sit" and "stay" for a treat until I tell her "OK" and she eats it out of my hand.  We are having minimal accidents inside
because she has gotten used to her potty schedule.  She knows how to fetch a ball and her toys, although we are still
working on the bringing it back part ;)  She plays very well with any person or dog that she meets and everyone that
meets her things she's just the most precious little thing.  We have so much fun together!

I'm sorry for not sending you pictures earlier...but we took some great ones during Easter weekend! Hope you enjoy
them and I promise to keep updating you with pics and how she is doing as frequently as I can.  I will definitely fill out
your questions as soon as I get some time to do it...after finals are over in a few weeks, at the latest :)
