Yeahhhh!!!!! We are home! Thank you for staying up to make sure she was okay. We were there right on time and it took about 1/2 hr. to get her. There were 3 people there picking up puppies. She was so happy when I took her out of the crate. We had to take her to the car to do it as there was no where there to take her out. The space was so small. It was dark, so we turned the car light on and she immediately started licking my face and just wouldn't stop....until she found my hair(I have long hair) and boy did she have fun with that. I held her for a little bit while Jason (husband) was driving and she started to fuss a little, so I had him pull over and I put her back in the crate which was right behind me. I knew she probably had to go to the bathroom, but there was no were there to let her do that. Sure enough, within a minute you could smell it and she was fussing a little to let us know she didn't like it. We pulled over immediately again and what a smart little girl she is.....she did her business right in the tray! We just emptied it out and she was fine and slept the rest of the ride home. When we opened the crate to get "it" out, she was all the way in the back as if to say get that away from me! What a smart girl to go right in the tray! She was not soiled and the crate was not dirty and your towel was still in it. Jason is in the backyard with her right now and I have Missy in the house. He is letting Laci walk around and get some water and just do what she wants for a bit. We are going to do the introduction tomorrow with Missy, when everyone is fresh. When he is done with her in the backyard, we are going to switch and Laci will come in with me for the night(in her crate). Missy is smelling all over me right now as I type this and knows something is up. She knows her Daddy is in the backyard and is wondering why the curtains are drawn so she can't see him. Well Laci is beautiful. We couldn't stop admiring her and she was just so excited and happy when we saw her. Missy just literally jumped on the keyboard to give me kisses. She is pacing right now. I'm going to take her upstairs and love her right now. I will write you more tomorrow and let you know how our first night and the introduction to Missy went. Cindi 5/28/08
I meant to get a note off to you sooner- -Sorry it's taken me so long. On our trip home we both took a break and a nap. The first night, she peed on me. I think she was disoriented and a little frightened when she woke up somewhere new with someone new. She hasn't had any other accidents like that since. She is really something else! She will go, go, go and then crash. We are working on using the puppy pad-- When she's in the kitchen while we're at work, she uses it-no accidents. But, when we're home and she's running around- it's where ever she happens to be when the urge strikes. She loves being outside running & playing. The other dogs are all doing much better with her. My Irish Setter and she stayed inside yesterday together. They were sleeping together on the couch. I got home early--no disasters!! The neighbor children love her. My sister caught them in the yard--they had climbed over the fence to play with her. We explained that they could only come in the yard if one of us was present. She is a cuddler--she sleeps on me--I just absolutely love her. She has learned to stop what she is doing if she hears-no. I swear she's grown some already. My sister put our dog food in her bowl (she didn't realize you'd sent transitional food) and she gobbles it down. In fact, she's a little pig. It's cute to watch her when anyone is eating. We've given her a few small treats--and, if we'd let her, she'd eat more. I want treats limited for her though, because of her size--I want to make sure she gets all the nutrients she needs. She plays with all of the toys. She'll follow after Gracie when she's playing fetch. It won't be very long before Bliss will be bringing us the ball. We say she's just like a two year old that you just can't help but adore. I'm bringing her with me to work on Saturday (no bosses around) because I'm going to my Granddaugher's birthday party right after work and they all want to see her. I know both of my Granddaughters' will fall in love with Miss Bliss. I will write more and keep you up on her exploites. Thank You--and thanks for being such a good and caring breeder. I know that has a lot to do with her make-up. Cindy 5/30/08
Muppet gave us and our vet quite an awesome suprise when she delivered more than the 3 detected puppies! In fact after the 4th puppy we had an hour in between and thought we were surely done! Nope she brought us 2 more after that for a total of 6 puppies. Started at 12:45 in the afternoon and finished at 5:45 in the evening. All 6 pups are happy and healthy! 3 boys and 3 girls and very unique colors and patterns thru out! Muppet was also ready to play fetch with her "teddy ball" less than an hour later! This litter is a MERLE litter and for more info on that please see our MERLE INFO as well as as our SABLE INFO page!

I am actually a sable!

Sadly we lost one puppy with this litter. From the first day he did not seem that energetic and he had difficulty nursing tho we bottle fed him to make sure he got nurishment. He was tiny in size even for this petite sized litter, he also had trouble keeping warm. At 3 days old we lost Angelito and have placed him into a lovely place to wait for us to cross the Rainbow Bridge and join him.
| It was great meeting you and Terry (and Sarah) yesterday ... and my babies, of course. I had to share on the way home as they all wanted to hold them. :)))))) I might win my nephew over yet to having a Cocker Spaniel. Dazz and Minx have settled in nicely with the other puppies. I will take them back and forth to my house introducing them gradually to the "gang". It was great meeting you ... and finally getting my kids. They are ADORABLE!
